‘FOR THE PEOPLE’

DJ Fizz and Shai-A are regarded as two of the best female DJs in Mzansi. Together, they perform a variety of genres including house and R&B. The Cape Town-based DJs are thrilled to be a part of For The People event.

“Our sets usually consist of crispy beats which create a good vibe on the dance floor. People will definitely enjoy our song selection and feed off of our energy,” said DJ Fizz.

At only eight years old, DJ Sophia is the youngest DJ on the For The People lineup. She is looking forward to dazzling the crowd with her skills.

“You can expect me to bring loads of fun and entertainment to my set. What makes me happy is getting people to dance to my music and seeing them being entertained,” said DJ Sophia.

CELEBRATING HUMAN RIGHTS MONTH

Chief Executive Officer of LRI Productions, Lyle Ryan Irwin, said For The People will also be celebrating Human Rights Month in South Africa and hopes to give people a reason to “come out and party.”

“I feel we all need a dose of fun in our lives again and what a better way to be socialising amongst people in a setting where music can bring us together on the dance floor – like old times,” said Irwin.

“We will host food trucks outside the venue on the day, as well as partner with a number of brands from a beverage perspective to create a real club-like atmosphere.”

“We want people to really have a fun time because we all need a reason to smile in the current pandemic.”
