Nick Cannon’s ‘baby mama’ pays tribute to late son



American television host Nick Cannon’s “baby mama” model Alyssa Scott posted a sweet tribute to their late son Zen who would have celebrated his first birthday on 23 June.

“Happy heavenly birthday Zen. At the root of all the emotions I have today there is insurmountable love. I always try my best to remain positive but right now I can’t help but cry out ‘it’s not suppose to be like this’,” she wrote.

“In my mind I can see him smashing his cake and crawling around, tugging at my legs. But the reality is I will be the one to blow out his first candle. I will be wishing he was still here with us. GO REST HIGH 🤍,” she continued.

Zen was Cannon’s fourth child in six months. A month after Zen’s death Cannon announced that he was expecting his eight child with model Bre Tresi. The comedian is also reportedly expecting his ninth child with DJ Abby de la Rosa. Cannon also has a pair of twins with his ex-wife pop star Mariah Carey, a son and a daughter with model Britney Bell. Aside from his alleged baby on the way with Abby, the pair also have a set of twins together, who just turned a year old in June.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BABY ZEN?

Cannon’s son Zen passed away at just five months old due to brain cancer. He revealed this in an emotional episode of The Nick Cannon Show. Cannon explained that Zen always had a different way of breathing but he didn’t think too much of it at first but doctors later found that fluid had been building in the back of his head. 

They found a malignant tumour and he had to have surgery because it was cancer in the brain. 

“Over the weekend, I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus…brain cancer. It’s tough. And I have my therapist here, who’s been helping us through it,” he said.
