We’re getting two more versions of Pinocchio this year

Brace yourself… this year, expect to see two more adaptations of Pinocchio.

A quick recap  – the film tells the story of Geppetto, a woodworker, who whishes on a falling star that the puppet he just created (Pinocchio) could become a real boy.

Disney+ has announced that their live action new release will be available to watch on their platform in September.

This version features Tom Hanks as Geppetto and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio (voice). 

Disney+ has shared the first sneak peak on their Facebook page.

Netflix has announced their stop-motion adaptation will be released in December.

This version is directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labrythn, Hellboy).
